Tour de France 2023 Stage 10

A very hectic start saw Jonas Vingegaard and Tadej Pogačar in the breakaway and other GC riders stuck behind. After over an hour, a break finally got away and all GC favorites were together in the peloton. With over 30KM remaining, Krists Neilands attacked the group. He seemed the strongest all day and showed on the final categorized climb. The rest of break didn't give up and kept working very well. At 3KM to go, Neilands was caught by the group consisting of Pello Bilbao, Georg Zimmermann, Esteban Chaves, Antonio Pedrero, and Ben O'Connor. O'Connor attacked, but everyone was on the wheel. Zimmermann countered and only Bilbao could initially follow. O'Connor bridged but only caught the front two as they opened their sprint. Zimmermann opened first but Bilbao came around immediately and held on to win the stage in memory of his late teammate Gino Mäder.
