Tour de France 2023 Stage 3

The Tour makes its way into France for the finish of the third stage. Neilson Powless attacked immediately and was soon joined by in break by Laurent Pichon. Powless was there solely to gather more points for the mountains jersey. He sat up after the last climb and let Pichon to set off alone. Before the sprinters got organized for the intermediate sprint, Victor Lafay sprung a surprise to get the highest remaining points tally for the green jersey. Because of this maneuver, he was able to wear the green jersey for another on stage four. In the run to line, Pichon was caught at 44KM to go. It was Jasper Philipsen who was fastest on the day. Phil Bauhaus came second with Caleb Ewan rounding the podium spots for third.
