Tour de France 2023 Stage 7

Two long hard days in Pyrenees gave way to a hot and slow day for Stage 7. Simon Guglielmi was the first and only attacker until 78KM to go. At that moment, Pierre Latour and Nans Peters joined Guglielmi at the front. Latour was the last one standing but was caught before the crucial part of the peloton's sprint leadout. Mark Cavendish got a clean run and it looked like he might take the win. It was a long sprint and he had to sit once or twice due to skipping gears. In the final moments, Jasper Philipsen passed Cavendish who had to settle for second. His search for a record breaking 35th Tour stage win continues.
