Place Name: Place Jourdan
Address: 12 Place Jourdan, 87000 Limoges, France
Details:
The big news on the stage was that Mark Cavendish crashed out of the Tour with 60KM to go. The bunch had little to no stress to that point, but an unfortunate touch of wheels brought Cavendish down with a suspected broken collarbone. The rest of the stage played out as expected as a snoozy transitional day. Tim Declercq, Anthony Delaplace and Anthony Turgis spent their day in the break. At 37KM to go, Kasper Asgreen attacked from peloton trying to bridge to his teammate Declercq. Declercq stopped pulling for a time but Asgreen never made contact. At 21KM to go, the peloton was all together for a sprint. Lidl-Trek took control at 6KM out, leading Mads Pedersen in the entire way. Pedersen hit out early for a long sprint uphill and he was able to just beat Jasper Philipsen into second and Wout van Aert to third.
