Tour de France 2023 Stage 17

Stage 17 closed the book on the GC for the 2023 Tour. Lots of riders tried to make the break but it came down to two on the final slopes of the Col de la Loze. Felix Gall and Simon Yates were toe to toe until Gall was able to break free. Yates tried to drag him back just over the top but Gall was able to keep the pace and hold it to the line. The the peloton, it was another tough day for Tadej Pogačar. He has a small crash on the Col des Saisies and then unraveled on the Col de la Loze. He crossed the line and is now over seven minutes down on Jonas Vingegaard who swept up all breakaway riders but three, to finish fourth on the day.
