Tour of Oman 2024 Stage 2

February 11, 2024 Some riders in the race described the downpours of rain as the most rain they had ever seen. Truly an unusual sight in the desert and an occurrence that forced the organization to shorten Stage 2 of the race. A punchy uphill finish was still the route for State 2 so some GC action was bound to happen. A large, long, strung out group came in together, led by UAE's Finn Fisher-Black. The main surprise on the result sheet was who finished second. Neo-pro Luke Lamperti was able to get over the hill and be best of the rest, making a splash in his first bigger race as a professional.
