Vuelta a Andalucia Ruta Ciclista Del Sol 2024 Stage 3

February 16, 2024 Finally a day to race, but it just might be a single day. Protests continued and it is becoming more likely that stage 4 and 5 will be cancelled. That didn't stop the riders from giving their all on a 5KM uphill ITT in Alcaudete. An individual time trial was not part of the original plan for any stage, so Stage 3 would be ridden on standard road bikes with no special TT equipment. Antonio Tiberi set the first time that seemed like it might hold. Only Juan Ayuso and Maxim Van Gils could better the Italian. Van Gils took the stage and likely the GC which is quite important in Lotto-Dstny's efforts to get into the World Tour.
