February 17, 2024 A 22KM Time Trial was set to shake up the GC and it did just that. The early talking point was Isaac del Toro of UAE holding the first competitive lead that might hold to the finish. It wasn't until Magnus Sheffield of Ineo came along and took the hot seat by 21 seconds. The main threat was always going to be the World ITT champ, Remco Evenepoel. He did not disappoint either, setting the fastest time at both intermediate splits and finishing sixteen ahead of Sheffield at the finish. In doing so, Evenepoel took over GC and now holds a forty-seven second lead over last year's winner Dani Martinez of Bora-Hansgrohe.
