A short final stage saw the riders start with 2 local laps around Levico Terme before doing 2 ascents of Palù Del Fersina and a run into the finish. No break got away as the favorites teams kept things fast. As they hit the first passage of the climb. Geraint Thomas of Ineos and Giulio Pellizzari of Bardiani-CSF-Faizanè attacked together 5KM from the summit with Hugh Carthy of EF-Education EasyPost latching on to make 3 riders at the front. They had 30 seconds over the top with 50KM to go but were caught on the descent. Amanuel Ghebreigzabhier of Lidl-Trek did a great ride on the descent and the first 6KM on the final climb to keep attacks at bay for his leader. It wouldn't last however as Antonio Tiberi of Bahrain-Victorious set off from a peloton of 30 riders. He was brought back and his teammate Wout Poels immediately counter attacked but never got much more than 20 seconds. Poels was caught near the bottom to make a group of around 15. The final small climb toward the finish offered a launch point but no one could get away and it was all back together with 5KM remaining. The sprint was led out by Bahrain-Victorious but Aurélien Paret-Peintre of Decathlon AG2R was fastest to the line, ahead of Tiberi and his brother and teammate, Valentin Paret-Peintre.
