May 10, 2024 Emanuel Buchmann Bora-Hansgrohe had a lead ahead of a reduced climbing group on the summit finish to Gyöngyös-Kékestető. In the last 300M, Diego Ulissi of UAE attacked out of the group to bridge to Buchmann. Thibau Nys of Lidl-Trek latched on to Ulissi and had the speed to go around. Nys caught Buchmann to take another win in just a few weeks. Ulissi was able to pass Buchmann for second place. All three finished on the same time and the split on GC only by bonus seconds.
