Stage 3 offered the best chance for the fast men to get their win in this year's edition. Four riders went up the road but it was controlled by Uno-X Mobility and Ineos. The race stayed in a holding pattern as the peloton slowly reeled in the break. Walter Calzoni of Q36.5 bridged up to the last two in the break, Brendan Rhim of Project Echelon and Johan Ravnøy of Coop-Repsol. Calzoni was the last man caught with just over 2KM to go. Uno-X Mobility had control at 400M, letting Alexander Kristoff wait for his sprint until 200M. It was duel between Kristoff and Pavel Bittner of DSM-Firmenich until 100M when Jordi Meeus of Bora-Hansgrohe came off the wheel of Bittner to take the win by a bike length. Bittner had the better of Kristoff to take second, Kristoff held third place.
