Critérium du Dauphiné 2024 Stage 4

June 5, 2024 ITT day on the Dauphiné would offer time gaps in GC on the 34KM rolling course. Josh Tarling of Ineos set off early and set the fastest time with an average speed of 49KM/HR. No one had even got within 1 minute of Tarling until Remco Evenepoel of Soudal Quickstep came through, 17 seconds faster at 49.4KM/HR. Outside of Evenepoel, there was very little suspense. Primož Roglič of Bora-Hansgrohe took third but he was 39 seconds adrift of Evenepoel. Evenepoel took over the GC lead, holding 33 seconds on Roglič and over 1 minute on Matteo Jorgenson of Visma-Lease a Bike.
