The break defied the odds and stayed away for the win. Peter Schulting of Diftar Continental was best in the sprint between the three riders of the break. Martijn Rasenberg of Parkhotel Valkenburg was second, followed by Wessel Mouris of Metec-Solarwatt. The peloton came in on the same time, just missing out on the catch.
