Details: July 23, 2024 Four riders made the break but only three remained with 50KM to go including Baptiste Veistroffer of Decathlon AG2R, Cole Kessler of Lidl-Trek and Johan Jacobs of Movistar. They had a lead of 2 minutes at that point as the peloton were being led by Israel-Premier Tech and Redbull-Bora Hansgrohe. The peloton got into color order with 18KM to go to position themselves for the long drag uphill to the finale. The leading trio were caught with 14.5KM to go, 1.5KM before a right turn that took the riders up a 2KM climb with a max grade of around 13%. Natnael Tesfatsion of Lidl-Trek rode on the front, pulling a group of 5 riders away. The peloton was broken into many groups of 5-10 and the front group mixed and merged. On the main road after the descent, the majority of the bunch came back together to set up for an uphill sprint finish. Israel-Premier Tech led from 2KM out and delivered Corbin Strong to the victory and the GC lead. Emilien Jeannière of TotalEnergies pushed him all the way to the line but had to settle for second place. Paul Penhoët of Groupama-FDJ continued his solid sprint form to round out the podium for third.
