Renewi Tour 2024 Stage 2

August 29, 2024 It's the ITT day at the Renewi Tour and it would likely play a big role in who will take top honors in the GC on Sunday. The 15.4KM route was flat and fast, a true test against the clock. Stefan Bissegger of EF-Education EasyPost started early which would mean he would sit in the hot seat for a long time. Alec Segaert of Lotto-Dstny stormed the course, topping all of the intermediate check points and coming in almost 11 seconds ahead of Bissegger at a speed of 54.4KM/HR which was good enough to win the day. Magnus Sheffield of Ineos was the closest to Segaert, finishing his ride 7 seconds back to take second place, Bissegger held on for third. Segaert takes over the race lead going into a pan flat route on Stage 3.
