Details:
October 6, 2024 The capital of Zagreb hosts the final stage which is set up for a bunch sprint with very few altitude meters on the course. There are more than enough bonus seconds on course to upset the GC so the teams will have to fight for each sprint. The first sprint came after just 35KM before a break went. It was taken by Tobias Lund Andresen of DSM-Firmenich, bringing him to 11 seconds down on GC. Charles Paige of TDT-Unibet, Matthias Schwarzbacher of ATT Investments, Casper van der Woude of Metec-SOLARWATT, Konrad Czabok of Mazowsze Serce Polski, and Kacper Maciejuk of Santic-Wibatech got clear after the sprint and had 1 minute with 85KM to go. The break was swept up with just under 20KM to go as they entered the large rectangular finish circuit in Zegreb. Andresen took the sprint at 10KM to go for another 3 seconds, brining him to just 8 seconds to Brandon McNulty of UAE in the overall. The bell rang for one lap to go as Uno-X Mobility were in a strong position with numbers at the front of the peloton. They led through the final corner at 350M and, for the second day in a row, put Alexander Kristoff in the perfect position. Kristoff waited and waited, finally sprinting with 125M to go but Oded Kogut of Israel-Premier Tech had the jump and took the stage. Kristoff finished second with Kristoff's final lead out man Tord Gudmestad taking third. Andresen had to win the stage to take the overall and did not manage to do so and had to settle for second behind McNulty. Fred Wright of Bahrain-Victorious took enough bonus seconds to get on the final podium for third overall.
