Tour of Taihu Lake 2024 Stage 5

October 14, 2024 The final stage is a circuit race with 5 laps around Nanjing. The main feature on each lap is a step of two hills. The first is 700M at 8% with second directly afterward of 600M at 7%. A group of 11 got away to contest the finish. The reduced sprint was won by Jelte Krijnsen of Parkhotel Valkenburg. Marcin Budziński of Mazowsze Serce Polski finished second with Karl Patrick Lauk of Huansheng-SCOM taking third. The group finished 23 seconds ahead of the rest which was enough to give Krijnsen the GC win as well. Budziński took second overall, 2 seconds ahead of Wilmar Paredes of Team Medellín-EPM.
