UAE Tour 2025 Stage 2

February 18, 2025 The ITT around Al Hudayriyat Island is a pan flat 12.2KM course. The first half is primarily headwind with a tailwind finish which makes pacing all the more important, especially as the day goes on because the wind is forecasted to get stronger. Given the wind, GC men and ITT specialists went off early in the day to get the best conditions. The top three times on the day did not come as much of a surprise. Josh Tarling of Ineos was top of the list, setting a winning speed of 56.67KM/HR. Stefan Bissegger of Decathlon AG2R was next fastest, 13 seconds down on Tarling with Tadej Pogačar of UAE-XRG in third, 18 seconds behind the Brit. The real GC will be more clearly defined tomorrow after the ascent of Jebel Jais.
