Paris-Nice 2025 Stage 3

March 11, 2025 For a third straight year, the riders take on a Team Time Trial in Paris-Nice. It is a 28KM test against the clock starting on the motor racing circuit of Magny-Cours in Nevers before crossing La Loire and finishing in Nevers proper. Timing in this TTT is a bit different in that the team time is taken on the first rider across the line and each individual get their GC time when they cross the line. Michael Matthews and Ben O'Connor were the first two riders to finish from Jayco AlUla. They set a fast early time that even UAE-XRG and Ineos could not match. Only Matteo Jorgenson and Jonas Vingegaard of Visma-Lease a Bike crossed the line faster, 14 seconds up on the Australian squad. Redbull-Bora Hansgrohe took third place on the day, 24 seconds down with Aleksandr Vlasov and Florian Lipowitz coming across together. Jorgenson and Vingegaard now hold the top two spots in GC with Ben O'Connor sitting in fourth, 21 seconds back. The big losers on the day were João Almeida and Brandon McNulty of UAE-XRG at 48 and 50 seconds respectively, and Santiago Buitrago of Bahrain Victorious who has a 1 minute 8 second gap to make up.
