A group of five riders got clear on the lumpy route heading into Le Mans and it was Kévin Vauquelin of Arkéa-B&B Hotels who won the sprint to take the stage win ahead of James Shaw of EF-Education EasyPost and Alexandre Delettre of TotalEnergies.
With the win and time gaps taken into account, Vauquelin won the GC by just 7 seconds to Delettre and 8 seconds to Shaw.
