May 17, 2025 Riders came across in ones and twos after a difficult circuit around Cassel that included six times up the Rue du Tambour (1.8KM at 4%) and six times up the Port d'Aire (1KM at 8.6%) with the finish line right on top. It was Sam Watson of Ineos that scored the win in a sprint with Carlos Canal of Movistar. Lewis Askey of Groupama-FDJ came in third, 3 seconds down. Watson now holds the GC lead by 3 seconds on Askey and 8 seconds on Canal with one day of racing to go.
