Boucles de la Mayenne - Crédit Mutuel 2025 Stage 1

May 30, 2025 The opening road stage is relatively straightforward and quite flat between Saint-Berthevin and Juvigné. Clément Izquierdo of Cofidis, Lenaic Langella of CIC-U Nantes, and Célestin Guillon and Kenny Molly of Van Rysel Roubaix were in the early break of the day but were caught on the run in to the finish. Florian Sénéchal of Arkéa-B&B Hotels led the peloton and was pulling really hard up a small rise and with 1500M to go, he and Pierre Latour of TotalEnergies found themselves with a gap. Latour attacked over the top of Sénéchal and there was looking around in the rest of the peloton. He quickly got 5 seconds and was able to hold off the bunch by 3 seconds to take the win. Biniam Girmay of Intermarché-Wanty took second place with Paul Penhoët of Groupama-FDJ in third place.
