The first of two big GC days started from the Schloss Hellbrunn on the South side of Salzburg and finished atop the Gaisberg with quintessential Austrian Alpine views. Over the 142KM, the riders had almost 3,000M of elevation to cover including the Gaisberg which is 7.5KM at 8% with the last 3KM averaging 11%. UAE-XRG continued their dominance with another stage win for Isaac del Toro. Andrew August of Ineos is coming into some good form and took his second, second place of the week, just 5 seconds down, with Felix Großschartner of UAE-XRG in third at 7 seconds. Großschartner still holds the GC lead but now only by 3 seconds to del Toro.
