Tour of Austria 2025 Stage 5

July 13, 2025 The organizers did not take it easy for the final day of racing around Feldkirch. 14KM into the 144KM stage, the riders tackled the 20KM Furkajoch. The rest of the of profile was constantly undulating with at least eight climbs, two of which were categorized. The final three were short, each under 2KM, but steep, between 6% and 9% with the last one topping out 11KM from the finish. The reign of supremacy from UAE-XRG finally came to an end as Bob Jungles of Ineos survived from the original breakaway and went off alone with 43KM to go. He soloed to victory for his first road race win since the Tour de France in 2022. Rui Costa of EF-Education EasyPost led a group in for second with Florian Vermeersch of UAE-XRG in third, 1 minute 45 seconds down on Jungles. The top 15 in GC remained unchanged, giving Isaac del Toro of UAE-XRG the overall win.
