The final stage could prove decisive with 12.5KM of time trialing. The first 1.3KM rises up with an average of nearly 6% before the road tips down towards the time check after 5.5KM of racing. The rest of the course continues gradually downhill back into Wieliczka for the conclusion of the race. The town of Wieliczka is famous for the Salt Mines which were in operation for over 600 years. Rooms within the mines contain finely carved chapels, statues, and ballrooms and is labeled as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Former U23 ITT World Champion, Lorenzo Milesi of Movistar, put up a fast early time of 14 minutes 43 seconds which was good enough to fend off nearly every other rider. It wasn't until Brandon McNulty of UAE-XRG came to the line that the Italian was beaten. Only Victor Langellotti of Ineos was out on course and he was over 40 seconds down at the intermediate sprint which was far too much to claw back in the second half. Milesi's time was good enough for second on the stage with Matteo Sobrero of Redbull-Bora Hansgrohe in third, 15 seconds behind.
As a result of the ITT, the overall was also taken by McNulty. Antonio Tiberi of Bahrain Victorious finished second at 29 seconds with Sobrero jumping up to third at 37 seconds. Langellotti slipped down to fifth overall after a difficult ITT, 39 seconds down.
