PostNord Tour of Denmark 2025 Stage 5

August 16, 2025 Mads Pedersen of Lidl-Trek continued his dominant run by winning the final stage from a group of five that included Axel Zingle of Visma-Lease a Bike, Matyáš Kopecký of Novo Nordisk, and Pedersen's teammates Søren Kragh Andersen and Jakob Söderqvist. The circuit around Silkeborg included a 1KM climb at 5% with the finish line a few hundred meters over the top. Kragh Andersen and Söderqvist played the perfect teammates by taking longer, harder pulls to keep the chasing peloton at bay. Kragh Andersen led most of the way up the climb for the final time and Pedersen was the one to attack first from over 1,100M out. Zingle went with him and when Pedersen realized he had company, the pace went out. Söderqvist and Kopecký came back and the pace was still off. Kragh Andersen also made his way back and came with a head of steam. The others jumped on just in time for the sprint. Pedersen launched first with Zingle on his case. They were side by side but Pedersen's sprint endurance kicked in and he held Zingle off the entire way to the line in front of a huge home crowd. Zingle took second on the day with Söderqvist in third, Kopecký in fourth and Kragh Andersen in fifth. Pedersen also sealed the overall by 1 minute 28 seconds to Söderqvist with Niklas Larsen of BHS-PL Beton Bornholm slipping to third, a further 2 seconds down.
